2 Injured in Crash Involving LACFD Truck in San Fernando
2 Hurt in San Fernando Collision on Golden State (5) Freeway
San Fernando, California (May 17, 2023) – Two people were hurt in a traffic collision involving a work truck and a Los Angeles County Fire Department truck Tuesday afternoon in San Fernando.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the collision occurred just after 3:30 p.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway near San Fernando Mission Boulevard.
Authorities said a work truck rear-ended a LACFD truck under unclear circumstances.
The work truck acquired major damage, appearing crumpled.
Two people sustained unspecified injuries in the crash. It was unclear if the victims were hospitalized.
Traffic backed up on the southbound side of the freeway following the collision.
