At Least 1 Injured in Azusa Car Crash on 210 Freeway at N Vernon Avenue Off-Ramp
Azusa, California (November 26, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a major injury collision that happened early Thursday morning on 210 Freeway in Azusa.
According to the California Highway Patrol, an SUV and a semi-truck were involved in the accident that took place at about 12:13 a.m. in the westbound lanes on the N Vernon Avenue off-ramp.
The SUV crashed into the back of the semi for unknown reasons, ending up wedged underneath it.
The driver of the SUV was trapped inside the car, and multiple parties were trying to assist them to get out.
That driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to Pomona Valley Hospital for treatment.
The crash forced the closure of all westbound lanes of the freeway for an unknown period.
