Anaheim police reported that a 58-year-old man from Stanton was attempting to walk across Knott Avenue when he was hit by a vehicle

Anaheim, CA.- A man who was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Anaheim earlier this month died days later at a hospital, according to the Anaheim Police Department.
The accident took place just before midnight August 9, on Knott and Orange avenues.
Anaheim police reported that a 58-year-old man from Stanton was attempting to walk across Knott Avenue when he was hit by a vehicle.
The victim was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased three days later.
The driver fled the scene after the accident and remains at large.
The suspect was driving a vehicle believed to be a red or maroon-colored sedan.
The Anaheim Police Department is conducting an investigation into the collision.
