
Spokane Valley, WA – The pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle in Spokane Valley earlier this month has been identified as Ashley Lane, 35, according to the Spokane County Medical Examiner.
The incident took place at around 6:20 p.m. on November 14, 2025, on Sullivan Road north of Broadway Avenue.
Police said Seth E. Schrammeck, 29, was driving on South Sullivan Road when he struck Lane, who trying to walk across the roadway at the intersection of East Broadway Avenue. Despite life-saving measures performed on her, Lane was declared deceased at the scene.
Schrammeck was suspected to have been driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He also had his two children inside the vehicle at the time of the crash but none of them was hurt.
He was arrested and booked into the Spokane County Jail on suspicion of vehicular homicide and reckless endangerment. The accident remained under investigation.
