2 Hospitalized After Auburn Car Collision on Highway 49 at Lone Star Road
Auburn, California (May 5, 2023) – Two people were hospitalized after a serious injury traffic collision that happened Thursday afternoon on Highway 49 in Auburn, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The collision transpired at around 5:46 p.m. on Highway 49 at Lone Star Road.
CHP said the accident involved a glass truck and a Dodge.
The truck went 30-40 feet off the roadway, and the Dodge’s airbags got deployed.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene of the serious injury crash and transported two people to the hospital. The extent of injuries of each patient remained unknown.
The collision also left about 50 feet of cyclone fence, and posts downed on the west side of the roadway.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
