Detective Hurt in Santa Rosa Crash on E and Fourth Streets
Santa Rosa, California (February 3, 2023) – A Santa Rosa police detective was injured in a suspected DUI collision on Wednesday night in Santa Rosa, according to the authorities.
The incident took place on E and Fourth streets at about 7 p.m. February 1.
Authorities said the detective was traveling west on Fourth Street when he tried to turn south onto E Street and was struck by a Nissan Titan traveling north.
The driver of the Titan reportedly ran a red light, leading to the collision.
The detective was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The other driver, Peter Rochelle, 56, of Santa Rosa, was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI.
Authorities are investigating the wreck.
