Sacramento, California (April 21, 2017) – A woman sustained major injuries Thursday morning when the motorcycle she was riding collided with a transit bus in Sacramento, according to California Highway Patrol.

The incident took place at about 11:20 a.m. Thursday, April 20 at the intersection of Alta Arden Expressway and Morse Avenue.

According to the report, a female party who was on the motorcycle was down on the ground after the bike collided with a transit bus.

Details of how the accident happened were not immediately available.

A tow truck was requested to the scene to remove the motorcycle from the scene.

An investigation to establish the cause the accident is underway.
