Robert Stoik Killed in Los Olivos Crash on Highway 154

Los Olivos, California (April 18, 2023) – Robert Stoik, 53, of Freedom, died after being involved in a motorcycle collision near Los Olivos on Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place at around 2:40 p.m. April 16, on Highway 154 at Foxen Canyon Road.
CHP said Stoik was riding a 2021 Aprilia Tuono motorcycle east on Highway 154 when it was struck by a 2021 Ford Mustang turning left from south Foxen Canyon Road.
Stoik was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered major injuries.
A bystander performed life-saving measures on Stoik at the scene. Stoik was then rushed to Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The Mustang, being driven by Scott Pigman, 57, of Vista, also crashed into a 2018 Lexus, which was driven by Robert Altavilla, 79, of Los Olivos.
The Lexus was sitting at the stop sign on northbound Foxen Canyon.
There were no other injuries in the incident.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played a role in the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
