
Riverdale, CA.- A man was killed in an accident that occurred as they were moving an oil rig in Riverdale on Monday morning, according to the Fresno County Sheriff's Department.
The incident was reported at around 10:45 a.m. December 1, in the area of Mt. Whitney and Polk avenues.
Deputies reported that the man was part of a company working to remove the oil rig from a property when a large piece of steel equipment swung and crushed him.
Authorities responded to the incident and the worker was declared deceased at the scene. The Fresno County Coroner's Office identified the victim as Alfredo Oronia, 29, of Arvin.
The Cal/OSHA was notified about the incident and investigations are ongoing.
