Ritesh Khanal Arrested After DUI Car Crash at West Covell and Lake Boulevards

Davis, California (November 29, 2022) – Ritesh Khanal, 42, has been arrested following a DUI crash that injured one person at an intersection in Davis, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision happened around 9:30 p.m. on November 21 at West Covell Boulevard and Lake Boulevard.

Per the CHP officials, Khanal was driving at the intersection when he crashed head-on into another car.

Responding fire officials and medical personnel arrived at the crash site and aided the victim driver, who was hurt in the accident. The patient was taken to the hospital for further treatment.

Open alcohol and marijuana containers were reportedly found in Ritesh’s car. He was arrested and booked into Yolo County Jail on suspicion of DUI, causing injury. 

Authorities closed the intersection following the collision.
