Richard Wright Killed in Victorville Collision at Amargosa Road and La Mesa Road

Victorville, California (May 7, 2023) – Richard C. Wright, 48, of Victorville, died in a car accident on Thursday night in Victorville, according to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.

The crash happened at around 9 p.m. May 5, at Amargosa Road and La Mesa Road.

 A gray Lincoln pickup truck traveling on Amargosa Road reportedly slammed into the back of a sedan that was waiting to turn onto the 15 Freeway.

The truck continued on Amargosa Road, then lost control and crashed.

Wright, who was the driver of the truck, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash caused the closure of Amargosa Road in both directions for several hours as authorities investigated the crash.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
