
Ramona, CA.– James Ostermann, 75, of Ramona, was injured in a golf cart accident that occurred in Ramona last week on Tuesday, according to the authorities.
The accident took place on San Vicente Road, east of Camino Arriba, at about 11:05 a.m. November 25.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Ostermann was driving a 2006 Club Car golf cart west on San Vicente Road when, for unknown reasons, he crashed head-on with an oncoming 2004 Toyota Tundra truck.
Ostermann was ejected from the golf cart by the impact of the crash. He was transported to Palomar Hospital with major injuries.
The driver of the Toyota, a 30-year-old man from El Cajon, was not hurt.
The CHP reported that impairment was not believed to have played a role in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
