Portland, OR. – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on Interstate 405 in Portland early Friday morning, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
The accident happened at around 1:40 a.m. on Friday, November 28, on Interstate 405 near South Corbett Avenue.
Police reported that a man was walking in the roadway for unknown reasons when he was hit by a car.
Portland police responded to the scene and located the deceased pedestrian. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The identities of the involved parties were not immediately disclosed.
The split at northbound I-5 was shut down for hours following the collision. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
