3 Hurt in Los Angeles Accident on Gage Avenue and San Pedro Street

Los Angeles, California (February 17, 2023) – Three people were injured when a short police pursuit ended in a traffic collision in the Florence neighborhood of Los Angeles on Thursday night, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The incident took place in the area of Gage Avenue and San Pedro Street at around 7:40 p.m. February 16.

The authorities tried to stop a driver operating a stolen black GMC pickup at Florence Avenue and Main Street but the suspect fled from the area.

Authorities pursued the suspect for a short while. As the suspect traveled north on San Pedro Street, the driver failed to stop for a red light at Gage Avenue and collided with an innocent driver at the intersection.

The woman driving the other car was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.

Authorities arrested the two suspects in the stolen vehicle.

The two were also transported to hospital for treatment.

Authorities are investigating the incident.
