National City, CA.– Several people were injured in a collision involving a police vehicle in National City on Friday evening, according to the National City Police Department.
The wreck took place on National City Boulevard and Civic Center Drive at about 10:30 p.m. April 18.
According to the report, a National City police officer was driving on National City Boulevard when they were involved in a collision with another vehicle at the intersection.
The officer and the five occupants of the car were taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
The intersection was temporarily shut down following the collision.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
