1 Killed in Moreno Valley Pedestrian Accident at Cactus Avenue and Heacock Street

Moreno Valley, California (May 25, 2023) – A pedestrian died in a collision involving a Riverside County sheriff’s deputy in Moreno Valley on Thursday morning.

At around 4 a.m., the California Highway Patrol was notified of a collision near the intersection of Cactus Avenue and Heacock Street.

A Riverside County sheriff’s vehicle is reported to have struck a pedestrian near the intersection in unclear circumstances.

The unidentified pedestrian was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

The deputy was not injured in the crash.
