Hillsboro, OR – A who was killed in a hit-and-run collision on Saturday evening along Southwest Minter Bridge Road in Hillsboro has been identified, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

The deceased pedestrian was identified as Jerry Bonar, 72, of Hillsboro.

The deadly incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. on November 29, 2025, on SW Minter Bridge Road.

According to reports, the incident occurred after a witness reported that a pedestrian had been walking along the roadside approximately 15 minutes earlier. Emergency responders arrived shortly after receiving multiple calls about the collision.

Authorities reported that Bonar had been traveling on foot when he was hit by an unidentified vehicle along Minter Bridge Road. The vehicle involved fled before law enforcement arrived, and investigators have not yet identified the driver or vehicle type.

Following the collision, the Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team and the county medical examiner responded to the scene to conduct a full investigation. Bonar was pronounced deceased as a result of the injuries sustained in the impact. No additional injuries were reported.

Deputies have not announced any arrests, and the driver responsible remains at large. Investigators continue to review witness statements, roadway evidence, and nearby surveillance footage in an effort to locate the vehicle involved and determine the sequence of events that led to the crash.
