Portland, OR.- A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Northeast Portland on Friday morning, according to a report by the Portland police.
The incident took place on Northeast Columbia Boulevard shortly before 4:45 a.m.
A vehicle reportedly hit a pedestrian in the area under unclear circumstances.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene after the accident.
Northeast Columbia Boulevard was shut down for hours as police investigated the accident.
