1 Injured in Barstow Pedestrian Accident at Main Street and Ash Road

Barstow, California (April 20, 2023) – A pedestrian was hurt after being hit by a car Tuesday evening near an intersection in Barstow, the California Highway Patrol said.

The incident was reported at around 6 p.m. near Main Street and Ash Road.

A black Volkswagen Passat hit a male pedestrian at the intersection for unknown reasons.

Barstow Fire Department responded to the scene to help the victim, who sustained a head injury.

The pedestrian, however, refused to be transported to the hospital and went home. The victim’s father called the fire department and requested an ambulance to respond to the residence and take his son to the hospital.

Another party may have been involved in the accident, and the firefighters were searching for them in the area.
