According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported around 5:09 a.m. at Thornton Road and N Devries Road.
Firefighters responded to the scene and found a pedestrian who was struck by a car under unclear circumstances.
The victim died in the collision.
Thornton Road was shut down following the accident.
