Sacramento, CA. – A passenger was injured after a tire came off a car and struck another vehicle Sunday afternoon in Sacramento, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident occurred around 2 p.m. on Highway 99 near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
According to CHP, a vehicle traveling south on Highway 99 lost its tire, which went into the northbound lanes of the highway and hit the front of another car.
The front passenger of the car that was hit suffered major injuries. The patient was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
