Carson, CA. – One person died, and several others were injured in a multi-vehicle pileup that happened Friday afternoon in Carson, authorities reported.
The incident occurred just after 4 p.m. at Figueroa Street and Sepulveda Boulevard.
Four vehicles were involved in the crash.
According to authorities, one of the cars was heading south on Figueroa Street when, for an unknown reason, crashed into the other three vehicles near the intersection.
Emergency personnel pronounced one person dead at the scene.
Three other victims were taken to the hospital in unknown condition. A fourth patient was treated at the scene and released.
Police officers are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
