Los Angeles, CA. – One person was hospitalized after a car accident that happened Wednesday morning in Los Angeles, the California Highway Patrol reported.

A van reportedly crashed into the back of another vehicle under unclear circumstances.
Los Angeles firefighters responded to the scene and shut down all southbound lanes of the highway as they worked to get a driver out of the vehicle.
One person was transported to Los Angeles General Medical Center with unknown injuries.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
