One Dies in Windsor Crash on Old Redwood Highway

Windsor, California (April 24, 2023) – A pedestrian was killed in a crash with a vehicle in Windsor on Saturday night, according to the Windsor Police Department.

The wreck took place on Old Redwood Highway near Pleasant Avenue at around 10:20 p.m. April 22.

Police said a vehicle hit a pedestrian on the highway under unclear circumstances.

The driver stayed at the scene and provided medical care to the victim until medics and police officers arrived.

The victim, who was not identified, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver cooperated with the authorities.

DUI was not suspected in the accident, police said.

A section of Old Redwood Highway was shut down as authorities investigated the crash.

The cause of the accident remained under investigation.
