One Injured in Indio Accident at Highway 111 and Monroe Street

Indio, California (December 31, 2022) – One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Indio on Thursday night, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The wreck occurred just after 11 p.m. December 29, on Highway 111 and Monroe Street.
Authorities said two vehicles crashed at the intersection for unspecified reasons.

At least one person had to be extricated from the wreckage.
The victim was then transported to a hospital with moderate injuries.
An investigation into the incident caused the closure of Highway 111 and Monroe Street for a while.
The investigation is ongoing.
