2 Die after Oakdale Car Crash at Highway 108 and Atlas Road
Oakdale, California (March 26, 2020) – Two persons were fatally injured following a two-vehicle collision on Thursday morning in Oakdale, according to authorities.
The crash happened at Highway 108 and Atlas Road intersection at around 6:54 a.m.
As per the CHP officials, a 67-year-old Modesto man was driving a red Pontiac GTO eastbound on Highway 108 and was heading towards Atlas Road when for unknown reasons it lost control and it swerved off the roadway. The Pontiac then spun counterclockwise into the eastbound lane before crossing into the westbound lane and it crashed head-on into an oncoming Nissan Sentra.

Responding emergency crews declared the two drivers, the only persons riding in their respective cars, dead at the crash site. The names of the deceased persons were not immediately released awaiting notification of family.
The highway was closed to give way to an on-scene investigation.
An investigation is ongoing.
