Injuries Reported in Mission Valley Crash on Interstate 8 

Mission Valley, California (May 6, 2023) – Injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle pile-up on Friday morning in Mission Valley, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The wreck happened on Interstate 8 near the Taylor Street/Hotel Circle freeway exit at around 5 a.m. on Friday, May 5.

CHP said two cars collided on the westbound lanes of the freeway and led to other vehicles getting into a pile-up. 

At least 14 vehicles were involved in the incident.

CHP said there were injuries in the incident. The number of those hurt was not specified.

Some of the patients were transported with minor injuries.

The CHP is investigating the incident.
