Motorcyclist Killed in Torrance Crash near Sepulveda and Anza

Torrance, California (May 19, 2023) – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a car Wednesday afternoon near an intersection in Torrance, police said.

The incident took place at about 3:30 p.m. near Sepulveda Boulevard and Anza Avenue.

The Torrance Police Department said a male rider on a blue 2005 Suzuki motorcycle collided with the driver of a 1997 Mercury car under unclear circumstances.

The motorcyclist was heading westbound on Sepulveda when the accident happened near Anza.

The rider was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.

It remained unclear whether the 83-year-old woman driving the car was injured.

Impairment was not considered a factor in the accident.
