Rider Dies in Lancaster Motorcycle Crash at Avenue L and 25th Street West

Lancaster, California (April 19, 2023) – A motorcyclist died in a hit-and-run collision that happened Monday night at an intersection in Lancaster, authorities said.
The incident was reported at around 9:30 p.m. at Avenue L and 25th Street West.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, a motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Avenue L when the driver of a blue Toyota sedan heading eastbound on Avenue L made a left turn against a red arrow to travel northbound on 25th Street West.
The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Authorities said the driver of the car fled the scene after the collision. The vehicle should have significant damage to the passenger side.
Investigators are collecting more information to establish the cause of the accident. The investigators said the rider’s speed may have been a contributing factor.
