Marine Killed in Yuma Motorcycle Accident at East Palo Verde Street and Avenue 3E

Yuma, Arizona (May 23, 2023) – One person was killed in a motorcycle accident on Monday afternoon in Yuma.
At around 1 p.m., the Yuma Police Department responded to the scene of a traffic collision in the area of East Palo Verde Street and Avenue 3E.
A 21-year-old man was riding a motorcycle southbound on Avenue 3E when he crashed into a semi-truck that had been traveling northbound on Avenue 3E and was making a turn onto westbound Palo Verde.
The motorcyclist, an active duty Marine stationed at the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, was ejected from the bike and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
