Escondido Head-On Crash: The Motorcycle rider failed to maintain a single lane as he rounded a deep curve on the eastbound Grand Avenue while approaching Bear Valley Parkway.
Escondido, California (February 17, 2017) – A 45-year-old motorcyclist died late Thursday night after his motorcycle collided with a car in Escondido, according to a police report.
The accident took place at about 11:50 p.m. last night when a motorcycle rider failed to maintain a single lane as he rounded a deep curve on the eastbound Grand Avenue while approaching Bear Valley Parkway.
Reportedly, the motorcycle struck a Honda Accord that was westbound on Grand Avenue.
The rider was fatally injured in the crash while the 28-year-old Honda driver was not injured.
The driver was tested at the scene and the police confirmed that he was not intoxicated at the time of crash.
The deadly crash remains under investigation.
