Rider Hurt in San Jose Motorcycle Accident on 280 Freeway near Highway 101

San Jose, California (March 18, 2023) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a traffic collision that happened Friday morning in San Jose.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported at around 8:41 a.m. on the northbound 280 Freeway, just north of Highway 101.

A Ducati motorcycle collided with an unknown vehicle under unclear circumstances.

San Jose firefighters responded to the scene and blocked the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes.

The rider was transported to Regional Medical Center with the complaint of pain to the left ankle.

CHP officers are investigating the accident.
