Pierce County, WA.- A motorcycle rider was severely injured in a crash that happened near Clear Lake in Pierce County on Monday afternoon.
According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, the crash was reported at about 12:09 p.m. August 11, on State Route 161 at Clear Lake Road.
A truck was traveling southbound on SR 161 when it tried to turn onto Clear Lake Road.
At the same time, a motorcylist was heading north and ended up colliding with the turning truck.
The motorcyclist was transported with serious injuries.
The operator of the truck stayed at the scene and was not suspected of DUI.
The accident remains under investigation.
