Rider Hospitalized After Phelan Motorcycle Accident on Eaby Road near Nielson Road

Phelan, California (April 13, 2023) – A motorcyclist was airlifted to a trauma center Wednesday afternoon after colliding with a pickup truck in Phelan, as per a local news source.

The incident happened at about 5:06 p.m. on Eaby Road between Nielson and Trinity roads.

First responders found a mini orange-colored dirt bike underneath a burgundy Dodge Ram pulling a Loadrunner trailer.

A helicopter was requested to land at the Stater Bros shopping center and airlift the rider to a trauma center. The victim was hospitalized in an unknown condition.

Investigators established that the motorcyclist was westbound on Nielson Road when he failed to stop at Eaby Road and entered directly into the path of the pickup that was heading south on Eaby.

The rider got ejected in the crash and landed on the driveway of a nearby home, several feet from the point of the collision.

Authorities are collecting more information about the accident.
