1 Person Sustains Major Injuries in Concord Motorcycle Crash on Highway 242 near Concord Avenue On-Ramp

Concord, California (February 18, 2023) – One person was severely injured in a multi-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle that happened Friday afternoon in Concord, the California Highway Patrol said.

The collision took place at about 5:38 p.m. on northbound Highway 242, just north of the Concord Avenue on-ramp.

A yellow sports bike, a black Mercedes-Benz ML350, and a third car collided under unclear circumstances.

Firefighters responded to the scene after receiving reports of the collision and blocked the No. 3 lane.

One person severely injured in the crash was transported to the hospital in an unknown condition.

CHP officers are investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
