Rider Killed in San Diego Moped Accident on Paradise Valley Road

San Diego, California (May 26, 2023) – A moped rider was killed in a collision with a vehicle on Thursday night in Bay Terraces, according to San Diego police.

The incident took place shortly after 11 p.m. May 25, in the 7100 block of Paradise Valley Road.

A 40-year-old man was riding a moped when he was involved in a collision with a 2016 Nissan Maxima driven by a 66-year-old man.

The impact ejected the rider, who died following the accident.

The driver of the Nissan was arrested on suspicion of DUI following the incident.

The San Diego Police Department is investigating the wreck.
