Encinitas, CA.- A minor was killed in a car accident that happened in Encinitas on Friday night, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
The accident took place in the area of Encinitas Boulevard and Village Square Drive at about 6:50 p.m. April 25.
A juvenile was walking in the area when they were hit by a vehicle under unclear circumstances.
The victim died at the scene.
The involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The crash caused the closure of a section of Encinitas Boulevard as authorities investigated the incident.
