At Least 1 Hurt in Emeryville Car Crash on Interstate 80 near Powell Street Off-Ramp

Emeryville, California (March 2, 2023) – At least one person sustained minor injuries in a traffic collision that happened Thursday morning in Emeryville.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck was reported at around 5:34 a.m. on westbound Interstate 80, just east of the Powell Street off-ramp.

Firefighters responded to the scene and blocked the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes.

The firefighters said at least one person suffered minor injuries in the accident. Paramedics offered the patient medical aid.

Authorities are investigating to determine the factors that contributed to the accident.
