At Least 1 Injured in Sacramento Car Accident on Highway 50 near Highway 99

Sacramento, California (March 11, 2023) – Minor injuries were sustained in a traffic collision that took place Friday evening in Sacramento, the California Highway Patrol said.

The incident was reported at around 6:40 p.m. on westbound Highway 50 near Highway 99.

A white Honda Accord collided with another car under unclear circumstances and overturned. The vehicles were blocking the Nos. 1, 2, and 3 lanes after the collision.

Firefighters responded to the scene shortly after the accident.

At least one person suffered minor injuries in the accident. It was unclear if the patient was hospitalized.

Police are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
