Fresno, California (March 20, 2017) – According to a California Highway Patrol report,  a 12-year-old girl died Monday morning when she was struck by a vehicle in Fresno, according to a California Highway Patrol report.

The accident took place at about 6:33 a.m. today at the intersection of East Butler and South Armstrong Avenues.

Fresno PD and firefighters responded to the scene and found a the girl down in the roadway.  A Toyota Tundra pickup truck was at the scene. Towing services were requested to the scene for the Tundra.

Mina Vang, 12, of Fresno was crossing Butler near Armstrong Avenue outside a marked crosswalk when she was struck by the car.

She was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center where she died of her injuries.

The cause of the crash was not established immediately.

The incident remains under investigation.
