Miguel Valadez Dies in Victorville Collision on Interstate 15

Victorville, California (February 8, 2023) – The man who was killed in a suspected DUI collision in Victorville on Monday evening has been identified as Miguel Hernandez Valadez, 38, of Long Beach, according to the authorities.

The wreck happened on Interstate 15 Freeway near Palmdale Road overpass at around 7:15 p.m. February 6.

Authorities said Valadez had stopped on the right shoulder of northbound I-15 to change the tire of his GMC 2500HD pickup truck when a northbound black Chevrolet Cruz drifted to the shoulder and struck the stalled vehicle and Valadez.

Valadez was trapped beneath the Chevrolet after the collision.

Authorities said Valadez was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The other driver, Jeniffer Renae Morgan, 46, of Victorville, was arrested on suspicion of DUI following the crash. She was booked into jail in lieu of $250,000.

The incident remained under investigation.
