Melchor Delagarza and Darlene Scruggs killed in multi-vehicle collision on Orchard Road near Cherry Blossom Place in Nipomo
Nipomo, CA. – Authorities have identified two people who died in a car accident that happened on Monday evening in Nipomo.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 6:30 p.m. on Orchard Road near Cherry Blossom Place.
63-year-old Melchor David Delagarza was driving a white pickup truck southbound on Orchard when he collided head-on with a white SUV driven by 49-year-old Darlene Leticia Scruggs.
After the initial collision, the pickup truck crashed into a red sedan.
Scruggs and Delagarza were killed in the accident.
The driver of the sedan suffered minor injuries.
