The Galt man was riding a bicycle in the area and was struck by a car
San Joaquin County, CA. – Matthew Westberg, 55, was killed in a bicycle accident early Monday morning in Stockton.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 4:30 p.m. on eastbound Jahant Road, east of Highway 99.
The Galt man was riding a bicycle in the area and was struck by a car. The man was knocked off his bicycle into an irrigation ditch.
Westberg was killed in the accident, according to the San Joaquin County Medical Examiner's Office.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
