Mason Young Dies in Collision at Whitewood Road and Hellebore Street in Murrieta

Murrieta, California (May 20, 2023) – Mason Young, 23, has been identified as the man who was killed in a car crash in Murrieta on Thursday evening.

At around 6:31 p.m., Murrieta police responded to the scene of a traffic collision at Whitewood Road and Hellebore Street.

A 17-year-old girl driving a sedan was making a left turn onto northbound Whitewood from Hellebore when she struck Young’s car traveling southbound on Whitewood.

Young was killed in the accident.

Authorities ruled out impairment as a factor in the crash.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
