Marvin Padilla Killed in Los Angeles Train Crash on E 24th Street

Los Angeles, California (February 22, 2023) – Marvin Padilla, 46, was among two people killed in a collision involving a train on Monday evening in the Central-Alameda neighborhood of Los Angeles, according to the authorities.

The incident was reported at about 6:16 p.m. February 20, in the area of E 24th Street, south of the 10 Freeway.

Authorities said a car was southbound alongside a Metro A (Blue) line train when the car suddenly made a turn infront of the train and was hit.

Two parties, including Padilla, were extricated from the vehicle and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Three other occupants of the vehicle were transported to hospital with minor-to-moderate injuries.

There were nearly 125 passengers aboard the train and none of them was injured

The operator of the train was evaluated as a precaution.

The incident is under investigation.
