Maria Villalobos Killed in DUI Car Accident on Avenue 15 near Road 39 ½ in Madera
Madera, California (February 15, 2023) – 19-year-old Maria Villalobos has been identified as the woman who was killed in a suspected DUI car crash in Madera Ranchos on Sunday evening.
The fatal crash happened around 7 p.m. on Avenue 15 east of Road 39 ½, according to the California Highway Patrol incident logs.
A 24-year-old Fresno man was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro westbound on the highway when he allowed the vehicle to drift into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a 2012 Mini Cooper driven by Maria.
Maria, a Madera resident, was killed in the accident.
The driver of the Camaro suffered major injuries in the accident and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno. He was subsequently placed under arrest on suspicion of DUI and will be taken into custody once released from the hospital.
