One Killed, One Injured in Los Angeles Accident on West Florence Avenue

South Los Angeles, California (March 18, 2023) – One person was killed and another critically injured in a head-on collision in South Los Angeles on Saturday morning, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The wreck happened just after 1 a.m. on West Florence Avenue and South Gramercy Place.

Police said one vehicle swerved across the centerline and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.

One of the drivers died in the collision. The victim was identified as a 42-year-old man.

The second motorist was hospitalized with critical injuries.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
