Man Killed in Collision at Euclid Street and Slater Avenue in Fountain Valley

Orange County, California (February 28, 2023) – A man was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Fountain Valley on Saturday afternoon.

Fountain Valley Police say the fatal crash happened around 4:52 p.m. at the intersection of Euclid Street and Slater Avenue.

A 2022 Toyota Camry was traveling north on Euclid when it crashed into a white 2008 Dodge Caravan that was making a left turn from Euclid onto Slater.

The 55-year-old man driving the Dodge Caravan was pronounced dead at the accident scene. The name of the man was withheld pending notification of the next of kin.

The 51-year-old Costa Mesa driving the Camry had to be extricated from the burning vehicle before being transported to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Additional information about the accident was not provided.
