A female passenger in the Toyota was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries

Beaumont, CA. – A man died after a tire that came off another vehicle flew across the center divider and hit his windshield in Beaumont.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 1 a.m. on SR-60 westbound, west of Jack Rabbit Trail.
A silver BMW 328i was heading eastbound when its left rear tire came off and became airborne.
The tire flew over the center divider wall into the westbound lanes and crashed through the windshield of a car a white Toyota Sienna driven by a 68-year-old man from Los Angeles.
The man lost control and crashed into the center divider wall before rolling down a dirt embankment.
The 68-year-old man was killed in the accident.
A female passenger in the Toyota was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the BMW, a 54-year-old man from Riverside, was not injured.
More details about the accident were not released.
