The Winnetka man exited his disabled vehicle and was hit by a gray Volkswagen Jetta
Baldwin Park, CA. – A man died after being struck by a car after exiting his car on a freeway in Baldwin Park on Saturday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 3:57 a.m. on the westbound lanes of the 210 Freeway near Sunflower Avenue.
A 21-year-old man was driving a gray Toyota Tacoma when he collided with a big rig.
The Winnetka man exited his disabled vehicle and was hit by a gray Volkswagen Jetta.
The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Volkswagen also hit the disabled Toyota and suffered serious injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
